I walked by you many times
Without a smile or hello.
I would have made it different
If I had a way to know.
Things I'm sure are better
You're happy now with God.
There will be many changes
And things will seem quite odd.
If I had one more chance
To walk by you sitting there
I would come and talk to you,
Not just stand and stare.
I wish I could have known you
And I'm sorry that I don't
There'll be times I'll think of you

But I'll help watch your family
